Facebook App Data Deletion
If you have used the Shade Degree Facebook App or interacted with our Facebook Page, Instagram, or Facebook Pixel, you may request deletion of the data we hold about you that was collected through these platforms.
Quick Request
To request data deletion, you may use any of the following methods:
- Email: Send a deletion request to hello@shadedegree.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request"
- WhatsApp: Message us at +65 8790 6272 with "Delete My Data"
- Facebook: Use the "Delete my data" option in the Facebook App settings under Settings > Apps and Websites
1. What Data We Collect via Facebook/Instagram
Through our Facebook App (App ID: 1532678631615863), we may collect:
- Your public Facebook profile (name, profile picture)
- Page engagement data (likes, comments, messages to our Page)
- Instagram business account interactions
- Facebook Pixel tracking data (page views, conversions on shadedegree.com)
2. What Happens When You Request Deletion
Upon receiving your verified deletion request, we will:
- Confirm your identity — We will verify you are the data subject (within 3 business days)
- Delete your data — Remove all personal data from our active systems within 14 business days
- Remove from backups — Data will be purged from backup systems within 30 days
- Notify third parties — Where data was shared with processors (e.g., Meta), we will request deletion on their end
- Confirm completion — We will email you confirmation once deletion is complete
3. Data Retention Exceptions
We may retain certain data if required by law:
- GST invoicing records (retained for 5 years per IRAS requirements)
- Contractual records for warranty claims (retained for warranty period)
- Data subject to legal hold or regulatory investigation
4. Data We Will Delete
- Contact information (name, phone, email, address)
- Property and window measurements
- WhatsApp conversation history
- Facebook/Instagram interaction records
- Photos you shared with us
- Quotation and order details
- Analytics data associated with your profile
5. Data Deletion Callback (For Facebook)
Our Facebook App supports the data deletion callback. When a user initiates data deletion through Facebook's App settings, Facebook will send a signed request to our callback endpoint. We will process these requests within 14 business days.

6. Verification
To protect against unauthorised deletion requests, we will verify your identity by:
- Matching the email/phone in your request to our records
- Sending a confirmation code to the registered contact method
- Requiring you to confirm the deletion before we proceed
7. Timeline
Under the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), we will respond to your request within 30 days. Most requests are processed within 14 business days.
